The Rev. Stacey Brady of Frederick was installed as the first Chaplain for The Lutheran Village at MILLER’S GRANT on Saturday, November 18 by the Rev. William Gohl, Bishop of the Delaware-Maryland Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). The installation ceremony was held at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ellicott City followed by a reception at MILLER’S GRANT.
Brady was called to service in October 2017 to be the first Chaplain for the continuing care retirement community in Ellicott City. In addition to conducting ecumenical worship services, she will minister to Village residents of all faiths.
Brady holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from Luther College in Iowa and a Masters of Divinity from the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. She has served as Associate Pastor at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Frederick, the Pastor at Harmony Community Lutheran Church in Myersville and the Assistant Chaplain at Homewood Retirement community in Williamsport.
