A longstanding, deeply rooted history.

Baltimore, Maryland’s newest CCRC, created by one of the nation’s foremost organizations managing senior living communities.

Lutheran Village at MILLER’S GRANT is being developed by Corporation Churches. Its financially sound pioneering senior living community, Carroll Lutheran Village in Westminster, MD, also near Baltimore, first opened in 1980. MILLER’S GRANT is situated on land belonging to generations of the Miller family, lifelong residents of Ellicott City. Since the early 1980s, the Miller Land Company has developed and donated land to Howard County, building the Charles E. Miller Library and the local extension of the First Lutheran Church.

MILLER’S GRANT became a reality for the family after Paul Miller was introduced to Carroll Lutheran Village’s President and CEO, Geary Milliken, along with  Dr. Eugene Willis. Mr. Miller sums up the ultimate goal of MILLER’S GRANT when he said, “It is so important that everyone have the opportunity to get into a facility like this, and live the rest of their life in a quality way.” He adds: “This is just what my family was always intending to do here.”

Corporation Churches is an assistance agency of ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) as part of the Westminster Conference of its Delaware-Maryland Synod.

We welcome people of all faiths: A majority of Village residents are not Lutheran.
