We continue to implement preventive measures to reduce your risk of exposure to coronavirus (COVID-19). We are adhering to the following new guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Maryland Department of Aging and state and federal governments.
Due to concerns regarding the spread of coronavirus and under advisement from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Maryland Department of Health, we are restricting all non-essential visitors from entering Lutheran Village at Miller’s Grant.
Essential visits are limited to one per day. Please make every effort for essential visitors to follow our visitation hours:
All essential visitors must check in at the front desk/concierge and complete a visitor health screening questionnaire, take a temperature reading and wash/sanitize their hands prior to entering the community. Individuals will not be allowed to enter the community if there is a risk concern based on the risk assessment.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
The coronavirus (COVID-19) situation continues to evolve in our state and in our local communities. We understand you are concerned about how this impacts your family member(s) at the Lutheran Village at Miller’s Grant. Please know the safety and health of our residents, families and visitors have always been and continue to be our highest priority.
The Lutheran Village at Miller’s Grant has not been directly impacted by the virus at this time. We remain vigilant in our efforts to keep our community safe. Upon learning of the COVID-19 virus, we immediately reviewed and activated our Pandemic and Isolation procedures. We are continuing to follow and implement additional protocols and preventive measures set forth by the Centers for Disease Control and our local and state health officials.
Everyone’s cooperation is necessary and very much appreciated as we work together to keep our residents, team members, and families safe. Because of the ease of spread in a long-term care setting and the severity of illness that occurs in residents with COVID-19, Lutheran Village at Miller’s Grant has updated its visitation policy.
Until further notice, visitors are not allowed in our Assisted Living and Health Care Center. We respectfully extend this request to family members.
We’re restricting visiting hours in Residential Living to Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-8 p.m. and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on the weekends. We require all visitors to check in at the front desk of the Terrace/Concierge and complete a health screening that includes a short questionnaire and temperature check prior to entering the building.
Our health care teams have adequate supplies and we have contingencies in place for dining services and activities, if necessary. We are reinforcing proper handwashing for team members and residents as recommended by the CDC. Any team member exhibiting symptoms of illness is required to stay home.
We pray for those impacted by the coronavirus and for the safety and well-being of our community and your families. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
