RIVERFRONT PARK
Riverfront Park – one of Laurel’s most beautiful parks – parallels the scenic Patuxent River, from the historic dam ruins to U.S. Route 1. With three picnic pavilions, 1.5 miles of paved hiker/biker paths, scenic wetland area and historic dam ruins, the area is a local favorite for walking, hiking and picnicking.

The Patuxent Research Refuge is the nation’s only national wildlife refuge established to support wildlife research. National Wildlife Visitor Center and North Tract are open for visitors for hunting, fishing, wildlife observation, trails and many interpretive programs.
