November 27, 2018 – The Lutheran Village at MILLER’S GRANT has reached an agreement with Right at Home to serve as the preferred provider for in-home care and assistance.
Right at Home is a national in-home care company with local offices. The Howard County office, based in Ellicott City, will serve The Lutheran Village at MILLER’S GRANT. Residents will receive convenient billing and scheduling and coordination with MILLER’S GRANT medical and social services staff.
The Lutheran Village at MILLER’S GRANT has been investigating options to provide in-home care services to residents since opening in 2016. “We could establish our own agency, purchase an existing agency or work with an existing provider,” said Susan Arcadia, Vice President of Operations for Lutheran Social Ministries of Maryland, parent company to MILLER’S GRANT. “Right at Home is local, has an excellent reputation, and is already known for providing quality service to residents for a number of years. Working with them was the clear choice.”
In-home care services range from transportation and light housekeeping to medication management and injections. In addition to the convenience offered to residents, there will be regular oversight of the program and resident satisfaction.
“We are excited to expand upon our services at MILLER’S GRANT,” said Right at Home Howard County owner Steve Luber. “Whether a resident requires short-term or long-term support, our care team will make a positive difference in someone’s life, helping them maintain their independence for as long as possible.”
The Lutheran Village at MILLER’S GRANT is a faith based not-for-profit continuing care retirement community in Ellicott City with 205 apartments, 36 homes, 20 assisted living suites and 12 nursing beds off Frederick Road next to the Charles E.
