Do you have aching feet? Our feet are extremely important in our lives, and we don’t truly realize this until they hurt! Dr. Marc Lipton,who practices locally and sees residents in the community, recently visited Miller’s Grant to speak about his role as a podiatrist, common foot disorders and foot care.
Podiatrist
A podiatrist is a physician who specializes in foot and ankle problems. These can include skin and nails, fractures, bones, nerves, sports medicine, surgery, tendons and biomechanics. A podiatrist has extensive education including an undergraduate degree, four- year podiatry degree, two-three years of residency and usually a fellowship. They are licensed by the state and limit their practice to foot and ankle care.
